The Story of the Blue Fox
In the heart of the city (Leicester), where the foxes are blue & the hum of industry clashed with the rhythm of rock ‘n’ roll, there stood a workshop like no other. This was the domain of the Blue Fox. The Blue Fox was the brainchild of Baz and his daughter, Max—a father-daughter duo.
Baz, a veteran craftsman with over four decades of experience, had carved his niche in the realm of pattern making. His journey began amidst the glitz of rock bands, designing bespoke jewellery for legends like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Rolling Stones. Over time, his talents evolved, steering him into the Point of Purchase (PoP) and Point of Sale (PoS) sectors, where he breathed life into prototype models for brands that graced the shelves of Boots stores across the UK.
Max, his daughter, was a chip off the old block. During university breaks, she found herself drawn to the fabrication lines, learning the ropes under her father's watchful eye. She had Baz's eye for detail but added her own flair with a passion for innovation. In 2019, inspired by countless shows she had attended, Max set up her own laser cutting studio, a modern complement to Baz’s CNC workshop, which he had established in the early 2000s.
The merging of their talents and studios in 2019 marked the birth of the Blue Fox. Together, they crafted a space where tradition met technology, where Baz's seasoned expertise mingled with Max's cutting-edge vision. Their workshop buzzes with the sound of CNC machines and the sharp hiss of laser cutters, as they forge new paths in the world of design and manufacturing.
